The problem is babyfaces are usually bland and boring the way WWE books them. Heels have the most character and personality and its muc easier to cut a good effective promo as a heel then a babyface one. Babyfaces get over if they are good in the ring. and before you mention Cena it was the rapper thuganomics gimmick that got him over in the first place

The facez that got over the most were promo driven....Razor had the character...Dusty...Sting...Hogan was hot since AWA..Warrior...Macho Man was perfect.

THIS. You could make a case that Andre, Orndorff and specially Savage had a good reason to turn on Hogan. Dude was a patronizing a$$hole that just did whatever he wanted but he was a good guy because that's what Vince wanted him to be.

shyt man, you look at what Cena did to poor Zack Ryder it's something WWE has always done.

Yeah, Vince has always been really awful at portraying main event babyfaces. It was fine in the Attitude era because those guys were anti-heroes and weren't portrayed as virtuous good guys, but the shyt with guys like Cena and Hogan is just foul. Those dudes are supposedly "role models for children" and they got them acting like a bunch of spoiled a$$holes.

That was a different era. The most over babyface we had in years still to this day cant cut a great promo, daniel bryan. Finn balor has average mic skills, shinsuke nakamura can barely speak english. Ultimate warrior would get booed to death if he debuted today and Razor Ramon would be one of the most over in the company. Theres a reason why Roman Reigns was over when he was part of the heel shield but when they split and they gave him that babyface ultimate warrior, lex luger type push the fans turned on him. Theres a reason why no one gave a damn about the all american jack swagger but he suddenly got over when he was paired with zeb colter who had the personality and the promo. Theres a reason Sheamus was over until they decided to turn him babyface and give him that hogan-esque push. You are not going to be able to get someone over in this day tryna push and market them in the same way they pushed and marketed hulk hogan all those years ago and thats what WWE wont accept concerning reigns. If they turned reigns heel and allowed him to cut promos on the fans every week and be as disrespectful as he can think of i promise you in 4 months they'd be cheering him regardless of his ring skills. To get over nowadays you have to be fantastic in the ring, or you must be a good heel.

The people believe more in a Bryan promo than Steph, Cripple H, New Day, Enzo, AJ Styles, Cena, Seth, Ambrose, or Shane. Get real.

Sheamus is nowhere near what you build him up as...heel or face. Fans have turned on his promos a thousand times.
