Still mindblown at the growth him and jay rock have had musically. Instead of just fading out because that OG west coast gangsta sound wasn’t right for the times, they updated their sound while refining how they delivered their content

Ironically soon as they switch they content up that is when they careers started to pick up. Swag rap was real popular during those times and i guess the world was not interested in listening to two west coast cats talking about damu this and 60 that.

Whichever one had Hussle In The House I remember it being pretty good, and that’s also when I REALLY jumped into the mixtape game downloading like crazy cause I had just got my first laptop of my own.

Though he had good projects before Crenshaw, Crenshaw is the release where I was really won over as a fan. Feels different when you were already listening to an artist when they are no longer here compared to jumping into their stuff afterwards. Give folks their flowers while they’re here.

Vol 2 is my second favorite nipsey project but i might be biased for personal attachment. that being said, it's very good if you appreciate a classic mixtape feel w drops, freestyles, jackin for beats etc.
