Dudes was writing these off as "promotional items" on taxes tho.

A lot was fake too.

And the others were crazy cause the money was crazy. Million dollar deals everywhere. Million dollars just on videos. Million advance. Million dollar sets on tour.

nikkas was just overdoing it. That baller age. The houses. Cribs. The cars. Everything was redicilous for a while

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I don't buy the money theory because even athletes who used to bling out and actually have the money, aren't rocking like that any more, either. Ot's more about trends.
Mad rappers and athletes still wear chains. And multiple chains at that. They just not big and gaudy no more. nikkas will rock a nice Cuban or a couple moon cut chains wit the small Angel pendant. Or maybe a small pharaoh head pendant.

While jewelry isn't as popular as it once was, it's hardly dead.

I know it's not dead. "Icing Out" is dying which is more of a product of the later 90's/early 2000's

yeah, the iced out bling is kinda dead. They're going back to the older style, pre-icing out.

Btw, how the fukk could i forget?!

Outside of what i said about that dog nikka X's chain (DMX) & Ghost's eagle joint, by far 1 of the hardest and favorite chains is Treach's!

That nikka brought back that Isaac Hayes (RIP) shyt. I think it was Isaac who used to rock that along with his other chains. Word up.

Huge chains been over for a while. I been noticing rappers been leaning towards gold ropes and old school Jesus piece type chains, them shyts look way classier and better
on the real it does, i see a lot of youngins rocking with this type of wave now

lets be real...
...in real life men dont rock that shyt.

You gotta be a rapper/ball player...or some type of hood star.

For the most part...the main piece of jewelry that men geek out on are watches.

The rule of thumb for most of this shyt is...
...if a broke muthafuka knows your shyt is worth something...it probably isnt that nice.
Its about being subtle.
I could somewhat agree with this.
