Are Consoles becoming outdated

How do you guys feel about Mobile Gaming though , can't that cause a gaming crash?

The average gamer doesn't play on PC.

Gaming advocacy group: The average gamer is 31, and most play on a console

that's a couple years old. cell phones have probably passed up consoles by now

but I'm an Elite Gamer, not "average"

I tried simplifying it. When I think of average gamer I think of the console crowd who aren't as into games that are popular on PC. I feel you get what I'm sayin but you want to argue semantics. Look at the top games on Steam and then on PC.. I don't think the "Average" Ps4 owner cares about goat simulator.

Goat Simulator isn't even in the top 100 most played games on Steam

as usual, it's Dota 2, CS:GO, and TF2

i was talking with this dude at work about PC vs console gaming.
he thinks consoles are better.

i started talking resolution and fps's and he just at me.
he had know idea about any of it.

i just and walked away.

Most people don't really care but he never saw a gaming pc in action

see I never heard of steam sharing and all that. I thought if you wanted to hook your PC up to the TV you have to move the entire thing over but your setup sounds real nice. How much did it cost to get a decent gaming PC?

All you need is the tower, they have wireless stuff also. Pcs are great for emulators

Kinda like the Steam machines. Different companies put out different Steam machines but they all run the same games.

If you look at what's happening with consoles the walls are starting to come down. Mid-cycle both Microsoft and Sony are seriously talking about putting out higher spec versions of their consoles. What's the point of having a console at all when that becomes a reality? Consoles are basically closed box gaming PCs that guarantee a certain level experience for 5-6 years. If they can't even do that anymore why bother?
