Are Daytime Panel Talk Shows Becoming Obsolete?

I mean shows like The Talk, The Real, The View, etc....

I wondered this after watching the I Am Athlete episodes where the wives are on it.

The internet is pumping out more and more of this panel style content, some of it with big names and guests that rival the big networks’ star power....and the internet content is getting better and better as far as production value (multi-cam editing, sound quality, set design, etc).....

I mean the internet just sort of absorbs stuff real quick then moves on.

The daily content most of these shows use isn’t going to catch most people’s interest 5 days a week for months.

I honestly wouldn't know.

"Panel" talk shows are usually comprised of gossipy hens, so I wouldn't ever be interested enough to watch any.

But single host talk shows that cover actual topics could probably still make it.....depends on the viability and likeability of the host, probably. And whether they're talking about substantive things vs just gossiping.

My grandma used to STAY watching shows like Oprah, Donahue and Sally Jessy back in the day. Just takes the right personality, most likely.
