Don't let the fake news trick you, people will vote for the Red wave when the investigations of the Clinton Administration come to the public before november
:troll:

Edit: To answer OP's question, i think it's close to being a sure bet that Dems will win the house, Senate will be trickier, but they can at least bolster their numbers if they're lucky.
I think it's also important to see WHICH Dems are going into office if/when they're elected. Seems there's a higher number of progressives out in front.

With voter suppression, inter-state cross check, gutting of the Voting Rights Act, gerry mandering... its gonna be very tough but it can be overcome with turnout.

The Dems need 24 seats for the majority. Historically when you have a President as unpopular as Trump sitting near 40% approval, the opposition party would be favored to win 30-40 seats perhaps even more if its a wave.

But with the structural issues put in place by Republicans after the 2010 census and the Dems being wiped out at the state level in most of the country for the last 6-7 years, its gonna be a very tough.

The good news for the Dems is that when they do compete in red areas or areas that historically were Dem but have been red the last few cycles, they can cut the gap and win.

But its also a mix of having candidates that reflect the district and are offering something tangible to the voters instead of platitudes and only being anti-Trump.

The Democrats will most likely retake the House of Representatives.

However, I'm not so sure about the Senate. I think the Republicans will maintain their slim majority in the Senate. Beto O'Rourke would have to beat Ted Cruz in Texas which is nearly impossible and Dean Heller would have to colossally mess up in order to not get re-elected in Nevada (EDIT: Maybe not. Heller could lose).

Also, I think that most likely Claire McCaskill (D-MO) will be replaced by a Republican.

Bill Nelson (D) will most likely win re-election in Florida.

Man this last week really got me thinking Dems might win damn near every seat. Trump is so bad I could see people voting just to get him out.

They'll definitely take back the majority in the House.

The Senate, i don't think so since many of the Democrat seats are open for grabs.

Stop that trolling shyt a$$hole :pacspit:

:why:
I have no idea what you're talking about. Obviously we see the midterms differently, but that doesn't make me a troll. Dem's blaming Russia should they fail to capture the house is generally expected.:manny:

"The answer provided by the Times is that they won’t be inclined to accept any outcome that doesn’t at least give the Democrats control of the House of Representatives. Another unexpected Republican triumph, like Trump’s upset of Hillary Clinton, won’t be treated as just bad luck by the opposition. Anger is likely to bubble over into more street protests as well as a refusal to treat defeat as anything but the result of more Russian mischief-Making.

While Republicans would dismiss this attitude as the petty complaints of sore losers, the prospect of another disputed election illustrates more than just the always-precarious fortunes of political parties. It’s clear the Democrats have become so invested in a misleading narrative that has essentially absolved them of responsibility for their 2016 defeat that it’s not clear they’ll accept anything short of decisive victory this year a legitimate result."

Democrats' 2018 Russian Interference Narrative | National Review

"But a significant Democratic wave may not materialize. Good economic news, for example, tends to blunt anti-incumbent sentiments. The country is still mostly using House districts that were redrawn after the 2010 census, just as Republicans’ big 2010 midterm wave victory gave them an unusual degree of control over state legislatures. Beyond deliberate partisan gerrymandering, the impact of a Democratic turnout surge would be partly diluted by their voters’ disproportionate concentration in cities, piling up extra votes in districts Republicans would have lost anyway.

But inevitably, many eyes would turn to Russia."

Opinion | What if Republicans Win the Midterms?

What's the problem here? We can disagree without either of us being a troll. Whatever that even means anymore...

They'll win the house. Lots of retirements and they don't even need to win many red state seats to win. Republicans have 12 seats in California for instance, and polls show Dems are favored in a majority of those. If the wave continues to build or not, they will take the house.

Barring some miracle or historic turn of events (pee tape released lol) there's no way they take the senate this year. They'd be lucky to only lose one seat. Winning the senate in 2020 is a possibility.

If the BernieBros won in 2016 we wouldn’t be having these discussions and the Dems would have control of both houses by 2018.
This is all I needed to hear.

Bash the Democrats day and night but don't say a peep about the Rethuglicans :scust:.

It's possible the Dems take the House. They should take it easily, but they have a long history of terrible turnout for the midterms so the pessimist in me won't let me get my hopes up.

The Senate is a long shot, just not enough Republicans up for reelection this year.

Just hold your nose and vote Dems to get these a$$hole Republicans out.

People getting all high and mighty is why the orange idiot is in charge and running America into the ground with his corruption.
No I have to vote my conscious. I can’t vote for what my heart knows is wrong :troll:
