Are East Coast cities Skylines out dated and boring?

I aint gone lie tho, one thing that always ammused me about NY was that is an Island, not a city on the land. I think most people don't even know that.
Im not a big fan of NYs skyline, but the overall city design from the street grids to 5 boroughs being connected together to make one mega city intrigues me.

i can't front...i grew up in NYC until i was in my mid teens and never knew that every burrough other than the Bronx was on an island.
when i moved back as an adult to BK my girl told me that we were living on on island and i called
...then she showed me a map and i was 
.it's crazy that i didn't know that for a good part of my life.
Philly skyline changing our second Comcast tower with a spiral is being built and we have skyscrapers crossing over into University city
if we are speaking strictly on US skylines then there is no real argument here.
Manhattan isn't even a city...it'a 1/5 of a city and it crushes.
it's a modern day Wonder of the World even if it's infrastructure is over 100 years old.
stop it with all of this "dated and boring"
NYC will at some point have to do some serious work with it's gas, water, electric, internet infrastructure.
they should have been doing it 20 years ago but they won't do it until shyt starts exploding or going off line.
that has nothing to do with skylines though...

The pictures look good cause of the nature, the Mount Fuji, the sea... the buildings are just as generic as the East Coast/Southern ones imo.

those buildings are extremely tall. They just look small when compared to the CN Tower - the largest freestanding structure in the western hemisphere. lol
San Diego's skyline from Cabrillo National Park early morning or at night is beautiful brehs. I've seen it firsthand
