Violent Ken doesn't actually have that afro in the game FYI.

I agree that the idea of evil characters being darker skinned is whack tho.

No
melianated skin just means stronger in Asian cultures.

:comeon:

Go on... now defend them more and explain why they have to have an afro too?

:gucci:I'm waiting...

Making stronger/evil characters dark skinned has more to do with Japan's relationship with the Ainu people.

Never heard of the Ainu? :sas1:

You thought when Japanese peoples' ancestors sailed from China to the islands, there was no one there already? :sas2:

The Ainu are darker skinned (tho not of African origin:whoa:), hairier and were seen as "wild" by Japanese peoples. "Wild" japanese characters tend to adopt more stereotypically Ainu features.

This quote probably says more about you :patrice:

Fam, stop it. I'm a HUGE street fighter fan and they have some suspect shyt in there. Almost every character is based in some sort of racial stereotype. It took until the Alpha series to really not make it so prevalent.

Elena is a doctorate student and yet she still dresses like she's fresh off the Serengeti.
Dee Jay, smfh, If you can't see the racist caricature there then IDK.

And Dhalsim is Indian not black/african fam.

Dude is right about this. Darker palette swaps for evil characters is wack as fukk when you can just change some hair and throw an aura on them. It may not be RACIST, but its racially ignorant for sure.

At what point of what I said make it unclear? SF and many other game series have weird ass racially stereotypical shyt in them. Then I highlighted your piss poor examples of "not racist" characters, one of which included and Indian man who's voice acting consists of not much more than "Yoga".

I'd complain, but I'm still consuming the media. :ld: and that would make me look silly.
Even if someone came up and told em about this stuff, they listen to that concern, but they wouldn't actually care.
