Do you identify more as a Black American? My mother is afro Panamanian. My father is Black American from New York City with traceable lineage from both parents (for centuries) to the Carolina’s. I was raised in black America (Harlem) primarily by black a black American grandmother while my mother was touring the world with the military.
You tell me yall rules, am I not admissible to FBA identity because I have a “teather” parent?
We all mixed with something from somewhere. We are talking about those that can trace their ancestors back here in the states for centuries and whose ancestors arrived during slavery.
If thats you then you are FBA regardless of where your mother is from.
I honestly hate this discussion amongst black people but this is a cultural thing. This is strictly for black American's that had ancestors as slaves here in the US. Thats it… there isn’t a reason or need to get jealous or insecure if FBA’s somehow miraculously get reparations. It will probably start a chain reaction in other countries and it is what is fair
