There was this show where a Black psychologist, newly arrived at a mental hospital, encountered a Black orderly who had been there for a good while. The orderly tried to clue him in on how things actually worked there. But the psychologist wouldn’t listen, he looked down on the orderly as not being an educated professional. Instead, he listened to the head man in charge, who was White.
Well, over and over again, as things started to fall apart for the Black psychologist, the brother who was an orderly kept trying to clue him in on what was really going on, but he still refused to listen. In the end, come to find out they were all in hell, the head man in charge (White man) was the Devil.
The brother orderly, at the end, said to him, “I tried to warn you of what was really happening, but you ignored me because you felt I was not on your level.” The Black psychologist, being laughed at by the other damned and the Devil, cries. The end.
The story is a metaphor for the dynamic experienced here in the U.S. between Black Americans and every other non-White group that immigrates here (especially Black immigrants). We try to warn them about how this country really operates, yet we are constantly ignored in favor of them believing what the system propagandized about Black Americans. So now, the system shows its horns to them too, and there is wailing and gnashing of teeth by other groups, while many Black Americans look on and say to ourselves, “We tried to warn them.”

The tide is turning and Trump will expedite this
....I sincerely hope we all can unite to form up like Voltron and take down this system and be on code. I hope in all of my hearts of hearts.

The change is coming. They are seeing they do not have the might and power in numbers to do this solo.
We did it, and we still battling, we need numbers and they have just enough numbers to join forces with us.

I seriously doubt it. If years of colonialism did not get them to see each other on the continent as allies, why would a few years here under Trump change their opinion about us?
The best indicator of how a group will react in the future is how they reacted in the past. Trump doing what he has been doing has not changed the fact that they still turn, look at us, and complain about why we do not do more. It does not change that, as they speak to us, they still condescend and insult us. It does not change that every time some White man commits evil, they run in and find a way to insult Black Americans over it.
So while hope is a wonderful thing, I personally will still keep my eyes open to the realities of how things really work. At the end of the day, we are another people who are not members of their tribes, and the concerns of their own will always be more important to them (and rightfully so) than our concerns. That is up to and including admonishing us for not supporting issues that have been shown, over and over again through peer-reviewed studies, to have been harming us for decades.

Well I think them being isolated from their parent's and their direct homeland will force them to, or they will be left in the dust.
The clock is striking Midnight and they have a little more than 3 yrs to join forces with us, as things will be considerably worse for them.
Their politicians who assume power are not standing up firm for their survival, they are literally a walking shadow under this administration.
I understand the hate they have displayed against our people. I understand the hate our people have shown against theirs too.
What I'm doing and been doing in my art is uniting us under one banner, one mission, one voice, one solidarity and that is our Black skin.
I know I may be wasting my time but some one has to be the difference maker.
Some one has to unify us and prepare the union to bring forth the fabled Black Messiah.
We are fighting a losing battle, even though we have made tremendous strides since 1865, we are stagnant too.

Brother you never unite with turncoats and c00ns. Ever. You only weaken your own ranks while providing refuge to a cowardly traitor who will turn on you and destroy everything you fought and bled to build at the very first opportunity the enemy gives him.

Oh my good man you are mistaken.
I understand that in order for us to truly unite we must take extreme lethal measures amongst us for those that detour and try to poison the movement. When I had the dream of meeting Dessalines, and Louverture, he told me that I must put detractors to the blade. That is the only way for unification. Any doubters, slow responders must be out towards the blade.
That includes every one even those on our side who share our Enslaved African Blood..if they are destroying the movement with their actions, they shall meet death. In the dream they asked me would you put ya Mama to the blade for detouring? I responded yes.
We cannot unite under anything white supremacy has given us as it poison all efforts. No islam, No Christianity, no gods can fight for what we must fight for as a PEOPLE...GLOBALLY.
I'm tired of losing, I'm tired of the betrayal, I'm tired of the bickering and in fighting.
many independence era leaders in Africa did preach pan-African unity and global black unity ,including meeting several civil rights era leaders here in the US and expressed a desire to collaborate.
Guess what white western governments did with leaders like this and guess why they preferred corrupt, self-serving dictators to replace them with?
Divide and conquer is their MO.
