i love games where i can create a player, but that's just silly. it's not always about you as an individual. let's not forget video games are often about a character and their story. i dont want to see my likeness while playing games like God of War or Last of us.

And that's the problem black owned media faces. People automatically shyt on it sight unseen because they think "Black owned" = poor quality. It's not just white folks either, black folks will avoid shyt sometimes if they know it's black owned. You see it a LOT with comics in particular.
right but it's cool to keep blindly accepting what they give us and giving them our money
or you can, you know, NOT blindly support them?
So the only options are to blindly support, or not play games at all?
well, i don't know if they automatically associate black with low quality or not. but i do know cacs get a fukking nervous twitch every time they see the word black. they read "Black College Football" and their automatic kneejerk reaction is to go "well what about white college football, that would make blacks so mad! they are the true racist"
That's cause you're ugly or don't think too highly of yourself. I want my handsome mug in place of Solid Snakes face. Since I can't then the next step is to allow some editing a la Skyrim or Mass Effect.

From what I've seen there's definitely an association black owned with poor quality in a LOT of peoples minds.
And yeah you're spot on with white peoples dumb ass reactions to game developers being more inclusive. I still remember the reaction people had when CJ was revealed for GTA:SA. Hell people were even hating on Franklin when he was announced.
your only options are:
- bytch and moan that cacs wont put blacks in their games, then bytch and moan some more when they throw us stereotypes
- selectively purchase games you're genuinely interested in, regardless of race
- purposely seek out and support games with realistic black characters
funny part is i was going through kickstarter, looking to see if any black devs had anything i could support. didn't find anything. i mean there really isn't even an excuse anymore. a good idea is really all it takes in the era of crowd funding. so you can go bytch about it all you want. but i already know cacs aren't going to listen

There's a "white guy" mod for damn near every PC. They even do that shyt for NPC's.
