No it’s not, especially if you were like me getting a cut every week n half. A mens cut at my shop was $18 pre shutdown. In the span of a few months it went up 12 bucks. That’s not including a tip.

My go to barber is an older Jamaican, he charges me $25 plus I give him a $5 tip. 30 bucks is fair IMO. But I'm not going any higher than that. $40+ for a 15-30 minute cut is absurd.

And I don't even go often because I let my hair grow out frequently, so I can afford spend more on a cut. But I still won't because it's the principle of the matter

That's how I get mine. With a beard line up and trim it's 35 but with tip it ends up like $42. And he's one of the cheapest in my city pricing wise

Yea 50 is the new norm for anyone decent. My barber been going on crazy vacations so I went to an old head shop where some sherm head who legit looked like Eddie kane cut my shyt for 35. Dude was fukking ass. Yea cuts are expensive but they are well worth it

I believe barbers increase the prices so they can work less.

My previous barber was aight and was only charging $35


Few weeks later he went to $45

Couple weeks later this nikka tried to bump to $55



So I went and found a new better barber and told him to kill himself. I went on “the cut” app a couple weeks later to check his prices and comments and he dropped the prices back down to $40 and was commenting shyt like “oh yall wasnt feeling the new prices lol ok i see yall”

Greedy ass nikka always has availability now
