Are Haircuts Getting Too Expensive?

Kinda. Used to pay 5-15 when I was a teenager, now it's 40-50. Worth it tho for a good cut.

%ages don't make sense. How does everything go up 25-30%, but Barbers want a 150% raise? I know mathematics and finances, that is literally price gouging.

Rent has doubled many markets in the last decade.

I bought an investment property for 238k in 2013 and comps on it are a few dollars shy of 700k.

I’m also thinking about tipping now, it’s fukking annoying. When pricing is so wild.

Paying 60-70 bucks with tip 3 times per month is wild if you have 3 teenaged sons. They need to get like packages for people who go regularly and stuff like that

Every other week. The barber i just used was new, solid cut, great with how much time it took and honoring his appointment. It was tough to pay 35 for a 5 year old kid though.

I just buzz my shyt down to the grain every 2 to 3 weeks. Used to have my fam shape me up but even that i can do by myself now. Stay lookin fresh. Haircuts is a rip off imo.

It sucks. Barbers that do black hair shouldnt be trying to charge white hair stylist prices. They will make the money up on volume since blacks and hispanics go to the barber more often. A lot of barbers letting social media get to their head

Social media definitely influenced a few. You charging 25 and seen some dude charging 75 now the next day the price went to 50 for no damn reason.
