TI was easily the man in 06 , I swear dude you have this biased against dude. Did TIP fukk your girl or something? TIP was never overshadowed by Jeezy stop :mjlol:

you and the people who dapped you are just lost in translation. im not taking anything away from tip.

tip was my mvp for '06 actually. BUT he wasnt the man.

rose, durant & curry all had mvp seasons this decade but lebron was/is still the man.

being the man and having the best year are 2 different things.

I'd say the streets was vacated those years before I say Ross had em locked, locked is too strong of a word, plus half the competition was in jail during those years with Wayne,T.I,Gucci,Boosie, and drill rap had 2012....ANd you tellin me Ross wasn't overshadowed in popularity by Jay,Kanye,Drake,Nicki Minaj in that period?...Didn't he get outsold by Jeezy and his own artist Wale in that time:jbhmm:.

- wayne & tip had already fell off before they went to jail.
- gucci & boosie never had the across-the-board appeal of rick ross.
- drill rap never produced anybody that was worth a dam.
- yea jeezy outsold him, but he didnt have the same impact as ross during that period.
- the rest of these names were not hot in the streets. old man jay, kanye, solo wale, drake. i'll give you nicki for the broads. the younger broads at least.
- wale was supposed to sell more than ross in retail. that was the purpose of signing him. ross wanted wale to be his kanye on the crossover tip.

So yeah, you missed out on Paper Trail which gave him the most critical acclaim of his career :dame:

What was you in fo breh?

critical acclaim = approval from dem folks

i didnt miss out on anything. i remember that weedplate with all those middle-american pandering singles.

Were you locked up from 2004-5 to 2008? :dame:

i was out here.

youre too caught up in mainstream & TV.

say word to the honorable lord jamar.

Jeezy was the one out of the group who was neve the man. He never had a year like T.I. did in '06 where he was single handedly was the biggest rapper. "What You Know" had the streets. "I'm Talkin' To You" had the streets". The whole KING era of T.I.'s career>>>>> Jeezy's and this wasn't T.I. featuring some rapper or R&B singer that was bigger than him. These were solo T.I. songs.

:usure: jeezy in 2005 was bigger than tip's entire being

All 3 are HOF material just a matter of first ballot or 2nd ballot

yea its levels to this. i dont know why alot of people on here think that a legend has to be a goat.

none of them are 1st ballot.
jeezy can maybe be 2nd ballot.
the others i'd say are 3rd or later.

Rick Ross has good music but he's not real to himself, no authenticity. So in the future he'll just get looked at as a fraud in my opinion. Culture Vulture type

are dr dre & ice cube vultures too?

we cant play picks-n-choosies.

You're delusional if you think Jeezy in '05 was bigger than T.I. in '06. Just to put it in perspective, Jeezy was never big enough to get his own artists a buzz. In 2006, "Shoulder Lean" got Dro poppin'. "What You Know About That" is bigger than any song Jeezy ever made. That's not some made up stat, it's a fact. T.I.'s 2006 >>>> Jeezy's 2005 especially considering that you'd have to reach hard to even award Jeezy that year.

No.

Legends to me are people like KRS-One, 2 Pac, Biggie, Rakim, Nas, Jay, Pun etc...
:russ:

Yeah nas is my favorite rapper. I love that 90s hip hop. Man we grew up with that being the only music outside of rnb we listened to. But breh we gotta acknowledge the new crop of rappers. :francis:

the discrepancy comes from you not being in the streets.
jeezy in 2005 is bigger than any rapper since then.

jeezy isnt a good business man. thats why nobody on CTE did chit.

young dro is the only one to blow from grand hustle and wouldve blew up regardless. TIP held that dude back. he aint getting no points for young dro. lol. youre crazy. dro shouldve had a career like gucci.

Jeezy has not been bigger than any rapper since then. That's false. You're making up criteria and moving goalposts just to put Jeezy up there with the likes of Wayne and T.I. Act like T.I. didn't have the streets in '06. Wayne was his only rival in that regard.

And lol at using Jeezy isn't a good business man excuse. And you need to be doing stand up if you think Gucci's career is something to aspire to for a rapper who had a bigger hit than Gucci even with Gucci having songs produced by Polow Da Don and Swizz. Dude even had an Usher feature. You even killed your own argument by saying Dro would've blown up regardless. If Dro would've blown regardless, how exactly did T.I. hold him back? You do realize that B.o.B. is also on Grand Hustle.

Pop rap or whatever is irrelevant. Is B.o.B. not a rapper on Grand Hustle?

I guess this song is Pop rap too then?

And before he had songs like "Nothin' On You" and "Good Life", he had mixtapes.

yea he has mixtapes and songs where hes making rap music, but that chit always falls flat.

BET I BUST.:mjlol:

hes grand hustle's kanye west. the crossover guy that can sell a gazillion records and still wouldnt be a threat to the boss' spot. it a win-win for tip. theres a reason why BOB and iggy are the only ones to get a real push in the history of that label.
