I never thought in my life that ASICS would be this hot right now lol…..they even buying out the Walmart joints :pachaha:

I never had a pair but New Balance is definitely #1 from look/aesthetic and comfortability stand up.

I wear ASICS and NB for running/walking, I still can't associate them with fashion

I work with quite a few black Gen Z and they all wear Jordans. Also NB (mostly 9060's) and Asics.

Hell, half the time they tell me when some new ones are about to come out.

The baggy look is not very popular in black circles outside of hipsters and art types
Most would rather wear straight leg before going to baggy. Like you said, there's no universal style like before, so folks wear what they wanna wear and it's been like that low key since last decade.

That's why I mentioned nikkas getting most of their info from online and not really being around different demographics

They see some of these rappers and celebrities wearing extra baggy shyt and automatically assume that's the universal young style now. For the most part you'll see Hispanics and Asians wearing that type of shyt. Or like I said earlier some of the hipsters/artsy black folks, but you still got more than plenty of nikkas still dressing like 2015:russ:

Nikkas that listen to Rod Wave and Youngboy ain't wearing baggy faded thrift store jeans:mjlol: But nikkas that listen to Carti and indie rock bands more than likely will:manny:

Again nikkas stuck in the monoculture thinking. Like it's 2003 and everybody outside dressed like Dipset. In 2025 nikkas dressed like Dipset/Future/UGK/Iggy Pop/Metallica/Miles Davis whatever:mjlol:

Crazy how it's the inverse of when we were the kids. Back then the white kids wore the tight fits and we wore the baggy ones. Fast forward to today the white kids (and asians) dress baggy and the black kids wear fitted.

Don’t kids wear actual Unc shoes though? I mean New Balance are literally made for people with bad feet :russ: I wear NB’s now but man I wasn’t trying to touch them shyts when I was a kid/teen/young adult. Aren’t kids supposedly making avia Walmart shoes popular because of TikTok? Them shoes are dad shoes and ugly af
