Are "Lag Switchers" Even A THING?

I know it exists (as there are youtube examples about how to make one and showing it in action) but how common is that shyt really?

has anyone here ever come across a legit lag switcher? a lot of people blame lag switchers whenever they get mopped up in multiplayer shooters but are you sure it just isn't regular lag?

like I don't think i've legitimately come across a lag switcher ever. i've faced fakkit ass players that abuse glitches & broken mechanics but lag switching?

If its a p2p host then they can lag switch by throttling the connection.... server admins on certain games can change your packet send rates but i think punk buster and vac have stopped that feature

Back in the Halo 2 days you could hit a 'Standby' button on some modems that would lag everyone but the host of the game. The host could then get a quick kill or make a run for the power weapons.

i here people complain on 2k about them mainly when somebody cooking they ass but i wouldnt doubt alot of people do. probably more modded/macro controllers users than lag switchers

shyt was big on Saints Row 1. The online was filled with people lag switching.

Yeah there's Lag switchers ..i know for sure i've been lag switched in Tekken Tag 2, it's not super common but it does happen.
