Problem is I think Ja is worth more to Memphis than another team.

Putting aside the off the field stuff, who is trading a king's ransom for a guy that can't really shoot, is shaky defensively and can't stay healthy?

I think he's a pretty entertaining guy to watch but guys like him have short shelf lives in the NBA

Oh wow a one game suspension, that will sure teach him a lesson :troll:

I said a while ago that Memphis Grizzlies and Ja Morant are an afterthought. They had couple years of playoffs and that was their ceiling. Ja is not serious about winning or he's injured too often.

I'm not saying he has no value or that no one will call for him or anyone like that

But there isn't an obvious suitor that jumps out to me, nor do I think Memphis could get a godfather offer
Brooklyn and Sacramento would trade for him; Washington would probably get in the mix too.

A super interesting swap would be Trae for Ja. Memphis gets to potentially shed salary and Atlanta moves on from Trae with a big swing on a new PG.

What we’re seeing is when a broken culture leads to anomalies in the game

In any other time in history, Zion goes on to be a megastar. But he’s fat and lazy

Any other time in history Ja is a superstar, but he’s corrupted by NBA Youngboy

Any other time in history, Lamelo is a superstar that’s helping the league. But he’s corrupted and stifled emotionally. So he’s a quasi star, but he doesn’t care about pushing the league forward or playing winning hoops.

So it’s a whole generation of lost stars whether bc they make so much money or bc the culture is broken

In the span of 3 days, Zion gets shut down future in the air. Lamelo gets shut down (after playing terrible basketball all year), Ant celebrating on IG about being a deadbeat, and Ja with 2 gun cellys

Any other time in history those 4 have the talent to be Magic, Mike, grant hill, etc. ‘faces of the league’. But it’s not happening and it’s bc this is a cultural problem.

TBH I don’t see Brooklyn making that type of move

Kings will swing at anything

I thought about Atlanta if the contract talks don’t work out
