The one Memphis fan in this thread is a retard

The other posters in here on their soapboxes, with all sorts of retarded trades :laff:

One of the posters hoping his son gonna be the one to restore black American sport culture :mjlol:

Anyway here is what it is as a not-retarded Memphis fan who doesn't want the team to be stripped for parts and then relocated to Vegas:

The team (GM, coach, star players) are at a crossroads:

GM: whether you move on from Ja and JJJ (I'd argue don't do this until forced into doing so), the identity established by the GnG team is completely vanished and that falls squarely on team ownership and leadership. They got rid of all the veterans and went all in on youth, but didn't take necessary steps to retain that culture that was built. No dumbasses, Dillon Brooks wasn't GnG. Tony Allen and Zach Randolph and other vets weren't loud... They came to work every day and made the place hell to play in silently, putting in work. And they gave Taylor Jenkins and Ja and JJJ a lot of fukking rope. Now they have to decide what the culture of the team is going to be going forward, and simply ensure everyone gets in line, and ship out any malcontents.

Coach: He's new (not his fault) and better suited to a rebuilding team (not his fault). But he needs to step up with his coaching schemes, getting everyone involved, and not tolerating bullshyt. This is not the first time I'm seeing him watch while Ja and JJJ are passive at stretches. Pop wasn't scared to get in anyone's ass (nh). If you let them think they can do whatever then they'll do whatever

Ja: when I wrote the word crosswords it was him that came to mind. He can ask for a trade (in person or by continuing to pull disappearing acts) if he doesn't want to be in Memphis anymore, which is fine. But if he does, the pouting needs to stop. His jumper has improved and he has cut down on the dunks. However he is the most impassive person I've ever seen off the ball, just walking in the corner disengaged. I mentioned this in another thread: Steph off the ball is a fukking nightmare to guard because he is constantly moving and cutting. Just half of that would be a huge improvement. And it's up to Lisalo to continue to call him out but it's also up to Ja to say enough is enough and start playing to his full potential. Bar that, this team is going nowhere with a disengaged Ja.

JJJ: our best player which is a problem somewhat. To cut it short. Even though some of the fouls he gets is ridiculous, it needs to reduce. I don't care about the rebounds: we're a great collective rebound team and I think the defense will improve once Edey and Clarke are back... However he needs to step up his offensive game in the paint and become a consistent threat.

Conclusion: aight, Ja had a tantrum on air. He's been disciplined for it. How he comes back from it determines everything. If he apologizes and puts in the work on the court, and that is coupled by our coach stepping up, long term the team will be fine and we'll not be the center of attention anymore which is always fukking annoying because retarded ass brehs use this opportunity to say the dumbest shyt :pachaha:

Otherwise it's been a good run with Ja and JJJ, but time to enter the Utah cycle of purgatory pending the team being relocated to Seattle or Vegas.

Stuff like this is bound to keep happening. Some of these nikkas are raking in generational wealth from just their second deal. Ja doesn't have to put in any effort or worry ever again. NBA contracts don't need to be guaranteed anymore since the money is just too crazy at this point, and more players will lose their drive to compete once they land that 2nd deal.. Simmons, Zion, Beal, and Ja are perfect examples of this.
People dont need wealth to do stupid shyt. And it aint just players. Some of these orgs are incompetent and run by shytty people yet they still making exponentially more money. fukkin Silver was a racist POS, showing off players dikks and shyt and his punishment was $2 bill. Sarver was a cheapskate and fostered a racist and sexist environment and got 4.

And how bout teams make better choices instead of giving them yet another bail out? Each of the other guys you listed had very obvious red flags and those teams still didnt hesitate to bust it open. We need to put more pressure and responsibility on these owners, not less.

I've never seen another small market team get on nikkas nerves so much :laff:

Stop putting your own failed hoop dreams and aspirations on these flawed Gen z players who don't speak about "the game of basketball" in the same reverence as MJ, and maybe you'll be able to engage in basketball conversation without gnashing of teeth :pachaha:

This guy doesn’t take his role seriously. Memphis just needs to see what they can get for him, because it has run its course in that city.

He needs to be shipped to Utah or Sacramento for a couple years so he can get some perspective.
