Stuff like this is bound to keep happening. Some of these nikkas are raking in generational wealth from just their second deal. Ja doesn't have to put in any effort or worry ever again. NBA contracts don't need to be guaranteed anymore since the money is just too crazy at this point, and more players will lose their drive to compete once they land that 2nd deal.. Simmons, Zion, Beal, and Ja are perfect examples of this.

John was just playing basketball. He didn't go far because Wizards were pretty badly constructed team and John never developed a reliable three point shot to get to the next level...and then injuries happened.

Give me 2013-2017 John Wall who at least guaranteed you 70+ games per season, unlike Ja.
