Being faithful and loyal is a choice regardless of gender, some people are just weak and can't control themselves period. I'm not making this just a male issue either since women also struggle with being loyal and keeping control. Society just likes to zoom in on men more and either make excuses for women or just ignore it when women can't be loyal. A lot of people are just weak. There's men that can't avoid temptation from other women and cheat even though they have a rare woman that's loyal. There's women that can't stay loyal and will give up on a dude for whatever stupid reason they can find and then bytch about not being able to find a good man.

Having options is overrated anyway. If a man can find one attractive woman there's a good chance they had multiple options the whole time. People don't just luck out and meet the one person that would give them the time of day. Most men end up with women that aren't much better or worse looking than they are.

I agree with this but at the heart of the initial joke that Chris Rock said, it's easy for men without many options to talk about how faithful they'd be. I have a friend who's damn near 40 and has never had a girl. He talks about how if he was famous he'd never cheat or if he was with say a Halle Berry he'd never cheat on her. I'd tell him of course you'd say that because you'd be so happy to get one woman that you'd do your best not to fukk it up. But if a man has plenty of options he knows he can easily get another one so he won't be as scared of fukking up the relationship by cheating.

At the end of the day it becomes about a person's self control, but it's much easier to have self control if you can't easily find a replacement for the woman you are with.

I think men can be faithful with options though, but only after they've spent a number of years getting bored running thru bytches and wanna settle down with some substance.
