off topic...but i was just looking at the datpiff download #s...most dled mixtapes of all time

why was dreamchasers 2 downloaded 4.3 million times?? ....thats the # 1 dled mixtape of all time (on datpiff at least)...which is 2 million more than its nearest competition...which was a lil wayne mixtape

have labels gone from buying their own artists records to downloading their own mixtapes??

that's the problem with rap, anybody can do it. Anybody can grab pen & pad & write. It's been shown numerous times you can have some success with a minimal amount of skill, therefore it encourages mufukkas to jump into the game

We're the only genre of music that has fans expecting constant free releases by their artists. Realistically I think it's good that artists are focusing more on dropping EPs and albums. Leave the mixtapes to the unsigned guys or the guys with no marketing plan.
