Was listening to a podcast and somebody was saying that morality goes out the window when your in survival mode and basically that ones values and morals are subjective. For example we hate that people kill others for whatever reason but if are life was on the line and killing was are only option for survival. All morals would go out the window and most of us would take it. Do you believe this to be true? like the saying goes

"one man's god is another man's devil"

link the podcast you were listening to for more context
it was a panel of guys talking about random stuff and one made that comment about if you were in survival mode you would do anything to live and morals would fly out the window. Everybody's morals are different and if that was the case what is truly just and right?

No lie breh shyt kind of opened my mind a bit when I heard it. I have a strong morals on what's right and you might have something a tad bit different which makes me wonder what's truly moral and just?

Well that's alarming since Cops are supposed to protect and serve. Was he trying to defend police brutality?

Yes. What one society considers immoral may be moral somewhere else. This is from a secular standpoint. From the commands of Yah, they are supreme and perfect.

I agree morals and ethics are subjective.

Our socio economic status, family life, culture, birth order LOL! Religious affiliation or not, Geographic location all of that colors who we are and why we think and do what we do…

mental heal too. Like what? Only a sociopath can justify raping a child wtf…

Read this book years ago. Changed my whole perspective on ethics and morals. Walter Mosley is the GOAT!

I’d disagree because boundaries exist that most people wouldn’t cross.

Also I think you didn’t ask your question correctly.

Morals and ethics always exist. Whether people abide by them when their back is against the wall is a different subject.

Your asking is there a straight line through right and wrong and basically getting ready to ask what is truth.

take some philosophy classes or read some books breh, the topic is very deep.

I think this is elementary and obvious. Morals and ethics are very clearly subjective.

Example: Some people think sex before marriage is immoral. But they most likely learned that train of thought through religion. If I don't believe in your God or your Bible then I say fukk your morality. My morals ain't the next man's morals.
