This! I get complimented a lot, and I dress like Larry David. Also, most Dallas nikkas don't know how to dress, so it's wild easy to stand out. Some stuff depends of your age. In my mid 30's I can pull off a trenchcoat but no way would I rock one when I was 19/20.
Also eventually you style should evolve to were you can look fly/professional while sneaking in little bits of your own personal style. Whether that's based on where you from, your (sub)culture, your values, etc. If you want to rock a leather jacket and boots on some punk rock shyt, do it. If you wanna rock a recycled hemp cardigan because you care about the environment, do it. They say rocking business wear and Jordans is low class, but if you love Jordans, who gives a fukk? You don't have to rock it every day but sprinkle in some of your own particular style.
How do Dallas folk dress? This! I get complimented a lot, and I dress like Larry David. Also, most Dallas nikkas don't know how to dress, so it's wild easy to stand out.

We need to stop pretending matcha doesn’t taste like fukking dirt.
That green shyt is objectively disgusting.
You drink that matcha tomorrow morning without 7 Splenda and tell me it’s not green fertilizer in a cup.
The issue I have about this quarter zip trend is that it's not grounded in a fundamental push to dress better. The funny thing about the quarter zip trend is it’s basically straight out of Crazy Stupid Love when Gosling teaches Carrell to get fresh except Carrell still looks like shyt afterwards just like these young guys in the quarter zips

It's not about style or learning how to put together an outfit.
It's just a meme.
Is it harmless? Yeah. And it's fun for a lot of people. That's okay.
But on some level it feels like a missed opportunity to get people to take their appearance more seriously.
I mean clothes and outfits have always been a form of signaling. It doesn't have to be a bad thing. People will always judge others based on their appearance so signaling can be a hack of sorts. Not saying you won't face racism even if you dressed up but we can't pretend it doesn't matter at all.In my high school wasnt about how you look but about signaling.
T shirt with the big letter brand name that meant one thing
Polo that means something else
That’s how you know what clique you were in, how you signaled to others how you wanted them to view you.
That’s all this is, using clothes to signal a certain (lame) lifestyle rather than using clothes to look good

like I said your style gotta reflect where you are from.Nighas really flexing trench coats
If you don’t get your inspector gadget looking ass on. I’m not dressing like a 1930’s detective movie.
I’ll continue wearing my timbs, fitted hat, Carhartt coat and hoodies![]()
I’m so disgusted at this new generation finding old shyt and forcing a trend. Quarter zips my ngga really
