in my life I've only met one person who was a single dad, and that was because his ex wife was a crack addict.


And well he had 3 kids

Single fathers make up a SMALL pool of the folks raising children alone. For every single father there is probably 20 single mothers. So, sorry moron, you are essentially comparing apples to oranges.

I can tell you were raised by a single mother. We're in here having a generally cordial conversation about an issue that faces the Black community, and here you come resorting to name calling.

Fact is, is that almost every group of people in the world have a patriarchal family structure. We as Africans in America have allowed the woman to rule over the men and raise the child on their own.

Look where that has gotten us. Matriarchy doesn't work, and my people in America are living breathing proof that it doesn't work.

Some Men and women have "Daddy issues" Whens the last time you heard of some one having "mommy issues"? The woman is only necessary during child rearing. Once the child is old enough to make its own decisions the woman becomes obsolete and its time for the Father to be more instrumental in raising the child. That happens in every community in America except for Blacks in America, and look where that has gotten us.

I was raised by a single father.
The woman is necessary for the adolescence of the boy, once he hits pre-teens and onward he should have his father in his life to guide him into being a man. Your mom cant teach you how to tie a tie properly or about techniques for shaving your facial hair.
