not even that, if you play soccer you know theres tons of in-game adjustments by coaches. coaches have many schemes and little changes that they relay through players-personal/zonal marking, backline changes, any formation changes, passing flow, pressing and so on

people act like if all 11 arent huddling around the coach theres no adjustments its like the furthest thing from truth.

I was ttrying to be as simple as possible.

Baseball coaches out here putting on squeeze plays, pulling pitchers, sending in the signals and all that. Way more than I've ever seen a soccer coach do

80% of the manager's work is on the training grounds. Besides they tell their backline to step up for the offside trap, determine which formation to play with which personnel, how to they will attack, which subs to make. etc. And if you watch a match you see them screaming at their players, instructions.
