There seems to be many parallels between them and the Cowboys underperformance as well. Both teams were expected to take the leap this year. How wrong we were brehs. Inept coaching, no sense of urgency from any of the players, and tough ass schedules are fukkin both them teams up.
Peoples expectations were too high for both teams this year. The cowboys were 13-3, Raiders 12-4. To me there wasn’t much of a leap to make, just stay around the same level as the previous year. Teams rarely get a whole lot better after having seasons like those.

Yup, Raiders won a ton of close games last season. 9 of their 12 wins were by 1 possession or less, and almost always there tends to be regression to the mean the following season when it comes to win-loss trends in close games (especially when you consider the fact that they won one game in the final minute of overtime where they committed 23 penalties, and another where they decided to go for 2 and win the game instead of kick the PAT and play for overtime)

Even though I picked the raiders to go 11-5 and win the AFC West before the season started, it wouldn't have surprised me to see them in the 7-9 win range at all if some things didn't go their way this time around, and well here we are. Their next 5 games are a tough ass slate and idk if I see anything better than being 5-5 at the end of that stretch with wins over MIA, BUF, and DEN. They have the talent but this year has left a lot to be desired without even taking Carr's injury into account

Our season to make some noise was last year imo. Carr with the broken leg pretty much deaded everything. This team hasn't been the same since Carr didn't, at least stand, with his teammates during the anthem for the Deadskins game.:francis:
They real deal tried rolling dude out there after feelings of paralysis after only 2 weeks??? shyt must be getting desperate quick
