Morrow can shoot, but he's not the type of volume bench scorer they need. Even if Ibaka was healthy the Spurs would've still won the series pretty easily. After Durant, Westbrook & Ibaka the rest of the team can't be counted on to show up every game. Brooks is a problem but he's only half the problem.

So you dropped some dead weight. The guys that are getting the minutes now either aren't talented enough or consistent enough to put you over the top. Health permitting they could take the Spurs to 7 but the 3 best players would have to play almost all the minutes and luck would have to be on their side.

Depends on how big a leap their stars take. Durant and Russ aren't at their peaks yet. Individually or collectively as a duo. It's all riding on their development.

The Thunder have the most hurdles to overcome to reach the Finals than any other top team. Their roster is flawed, extremely front loaded with loads of talent in their top 3 guys, but everyone else is mediocre at best. Meanwhile, almost every team they face in the playoffs is better top to bottom than them, they have to win purely off of star power. They never are true favorites in the series that they are in because the opposing team's bench is ALWAYS better, the opposing team ALWAYS has better coaching and the opposing team ALWAYS outperforms them as a team.

They are good enough to win championships, but it's never a probability because while they have 3 championship-level players, the other 9 guys are guys (reggie's okay but he's not a good fit on OKC and I doubt his role would be the same elsewhere) who wouldn't even have a chance to start for a different NBA team.

Even though Westbrook is a BIG part of their team they need to trade him.....Him and KD don't have good chemistry....if you notice they rarely click at the same time....they need to trade and take all that money they're paying him and get 2 or 3 solid role players and/or a scoring big man who can rebound...until they either get rid of westbrook or get a scoring big man they won't get over the hump

Still crazy to me how the NBA just straight up suspended another team's most important player in a game 7 AFTER the ref's deemed his "punch" not even enough to throw him out of the game...
