It's so weird to me that you guys don't see these types of couples up there! It's pretty much what you see in Trinidad, Douglas.

Tatiana Ali is Afro-Panamanian and Indo-Trini. And, Chili from TLC does use the hashtag #dougla. I just scrolled through some images, and these are examples of Dougla women here:

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Its funny this thread pops up,
Im in NY, and there's a lot of Guyanese Indians.

So this dude I was talking to at work today, Indian Guayanese,
starts talking to me about hardships and shyt, and hit me with the "Its hard being a black man" talk
Says, "you can relate, right?"

whole time im like :gucci:

Dog u look Indian to me

Those guyanese and trinidadian indians are more used to being around black people than other south asians. The older generation are type racist tho.

A girl i grew up with was Half Haitian and Half Bengali. We use to hate eachother when we were kids but end up being cool and I never saw her again. I think she moved back and forth to Florida but her brother still lived in Bk.

A lot of those Haitian kompa singers are half African half labanese/Syrian.

Guadeloupe is another country in the caribbean with many indians. Just like Guyana they live in the countryside of the country. Pretty interesting since the Indian thing is mostly a british colonization thing.

Also my wife’s whole family is half Black and Indian(via Fiji)

I’ve also known many Guyanese families that are similar to my wife’s.
