Which hospital? Were not looking at Colombia but I'm just curious because all I see is a top rated eye care facility.

The top general hospital honors seem to go to Brazil twice over. At least in my cursory glance.
Yes according to Newsweek The best hospital in South America is in Sao Paulo Brazil

The second best is in Bogota. The third best is in Mexico and the fourth Best is in Cali Colombia so you got options in Panama.

This is how I see it man. America is one of the wickedest if not the most wicked nation around. I'd rather my babies not see too many of themselves but can navigate through life in relative peace than keep them here and possibly have someone calling my kid the n word or worse and she gets paid a milly afterwards.

We're the most hated people on the planet. No matter where our feet land disapproving stares will meet us. I'd rather my babies have a social group of people who look them so we'll have a better shot of preventing them from seeking salvation from their oppressors while fearing/hating their reflection.

If things continue like this, amerikkka seems finished for black people :francis:

Are you saying you think quality of life isn't going to be better outside the US?
If you have enough money yes , you've got every state in a deficit dude . The government will find ways to take your assets to make there budgets . The feds spent years giving away our money to defense contractors & haven't learned anything.

America as we know it is already done for, for all of us. It's just going to take time for all of the cracks to start showing.

And we'll just get permanent residency. But any children we have after the first will be able to have duel citizenship, at least in PC.

We've had it out over this and we've agreed to move to Panama City after our child turns 5 as long as I make private international school a reality. I'm going to have to shell out over 10k minimum a year for this.

This changes our plans quite a bit. We wanted to have stair-step kids but our first child is most likely going to be at least 7 years older than his/her siblings or just sibling. I have to see how realistic putting 3 children through private school is.

Also, she's put this squarely on my shoulders. It should be this way but it's annoying to know she's doing with this almost backhanded "whatever you say oh fearless leader" attitude.(she really said that btw)

Long story short. Panama here I come in 2030-ish

This is not true breh. That's the US propaganda machine working on you. That's why I am trying to leave, don't want my little ones to be subjected to the same things I thought too earlier on.

I'm 39 and she'll be 29 soon.

Who do you think is more hated than us? There's slurs about us in particular in literally every continent and countless countries, even in Africa.

And yes, I'm aware of how we've been inculcated for self-hatred and a myriad of other psychological issues for generations. But I don't think me saying we're the most hated group comes from the operant conditioning I've endured, I think it's just true. If I'm wrong I'd be grateful for evidence to the contrary.

The places we narrowed it down to are Johannesburg, Accra and Panama City. Before she got pregnant we were going to visit all the places by the end of next year. She can teach English and she's done it before in Seoul. I can get a job in Accra and Panama City. I have friends in Accra too but she's not too fond of the idea of it but agreed to have it on the list just because of my connections to it. With Panama City I would have to change companies and then transfer to PC and I'm already speaking to recruiters there and could be st the new job in a month if I wanted. Johannesburg is more difficult. She could still get a job with her experience but I would have to figure it out and I most definitely would before I made a move I just haven't looked into it because Johannesburg is the place I'm just tolerating the possibility on the list. She has make believe online friends she talks to regularly but she's never met in person who live there though.

I mentioned the options above. As far as our kids learning about AA history, we'll handle that. We're already building a at home curriculum. We won't just be handing our babies over to strangers and crossing our fingers about them learning what we think they need to know. Also, thats a great idea about the book club/books. What made you passionate about that?

Have you lived in Africa before? It would be good to spend 3+ months in Ghana or South Africa before making the full move.

That would be nice but we're only going to visit, eventually. The realities of this whole human we have coming soon are really hitting and it's forcing us to not romanticize our plans.

Preparing for Panama is paramount, Im going to get the bread for the first 5 years stacked, on top of handling our expenses currently. Africa is on the back-burner.
