c/s prince.org...but go to the non-prince section. it's good.

AHH's the illcommunity is "meh" (not enough activity); there was also rnbhaven.com?.......also a new jack swing forum (cant remember the name)........ lipstick alley (but its mostly girls there, and not all the forum is about rnb). a few i can think of off the top.

props.

why arent there any threads on r&b anymore. i mean, i know the game is dryer than prostitute cooch but theres not even threads on old stuff.

the only threads that pop are the ones where people just post random youtubes links where theres no time left to watch the videos once the pages finally load. never any actual discussion.

the ladies room used to be a good refuge for that, but that seems to be a thing of the past here.

"dryer than a prostitutes cooch"? I think that's a matter of perspective from my where I'm standing R&B hasn't really lost a step.

Regardless of whether or not it appeals to mass markets somebody is always going to build on what came before and make something new.

It's simply a matter of being able to find it, and I haven't struggled to do that over the years.

As far as this forum goes, a dedicated R&B thread would help. In fact I'll make one in which I'll post a compilation of all the best stuff I've heard these
past few years.

good post, and i will def support. i used to participate heavily in the sohh days in rnb posts (under the username "mitchandness") with other posters like wacky d....but now it like we def need an rnb forum whether the genre is dead or not.....

rnb artists, albums, news etc. that are current still need to be discussed as well as stuff from the past as well. as far as rnb being dead, that's mostly being said nowadays since we now have to go and find rnb...whereas before rnb found us.

That could work too... like an "All r&b discussion thread or something".

i dont know why the allhiphop one is so dead. the topics are awesome. but nobody writes on there.

same thing i noticed. you see good threads there but no one there to discuss. an example would a thread where someone asked "who is the king of soul"? marvin vs donny, vs stevie, vs curtis mayfield vs al green vs ron isley vs sam cooke, etc..... yes its a dead thread, no arguments, no good conversation, no comparisons etc. on such a very debatable topic. smh.

honestly we need a sub r&b forum since it would be alive and poppin' all day everyday.

yea, we need an r&b forum.

either that, or we could renovate that alt. music forum and get that chit poppin with r&b.

i think the days of r&b threads doing it big in the ladies room/locker room are over, unless you make a beyonce-hate thread or something.
