Are there any rappers/groups that have more than 1 classic album?

What’s the other Bone Thugs Classic?
DMX has one.
What’s the third Run DMC album?
What would you say the two Geto Boys albums are?

art of war
flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood
run dmc's 1st three
I never listened to a geto boys album. I was just throwing the lob up for somebody that might wanna vouch for them. I know the source claimed they had 2 classics. the one with the original lineup, and the one where bushwhick shot himself.

Art of War is where they fell off (from my non fan perspective).
I feel like the first and third Run DMC albums are the ones considered classics.
Flesh was a disappointing follow up.
The Source gave five mics to Grip it and included it on the 100 albums list. None of the other ones.

The Chronic is an undisputed classic Breh.

Come on breh, The Chronic does not hold up in 2018 :stopitslime:A few classic joints in there (Nuthin' but a G Thang), but not all of it has held up. I consider Doggystyle to be a classic and the difference in quality between Doggystyle in Chronic is quite large.

Hold up compared to what in 2018? :mjlol:
It’s arguably the GOAT album.
You need to sit with this album for a week.

Compared to Doggystyle, Illmatic, Liquid Swords, Infamous, it has not aged as well.

It’s arguably the GOAT album.

You know, I'd neg you but I'd rather have a good discussion about Hip Hop. It's nowhere near being the GOAT album. It's top 20 at best.

- they had already peaked but that wasn't their falloff. they were still the biggest group going, and art of war was low-key their most influential album.

- "king of rock" is the rap album version of the over-looked middle child. I used to sleep on its classic status myself until someone on here pointed it out to me. matter fact, you were in that same thread. but yea, its arguably a top 50 album in its own right. problem is, its stuck in-between two of the goat albums. it would be the signature classic LP for most other groups.

- nah. I remember a lot of people playing flesh more than IDAHIH. two completely different albums with hallway different followings.

- not to give any credence to a magazine, but I'm talking about that issue(I think it was the 250th) where they went back and gave 5 mics to albums of the past. they gave it up to "grip it" and the one where bushwhack bill is being rushed thru ER on the cover.
