They giving excuses but really hair is a fashion, and you stop caring as much about being up on the latest trends as you get older, and go far stuff that is easier to maintain. Also aging hairlines play a part into it as well.

I'd also add that as you get older, your relationship status definitely has an impact on your haircut.

It's many a married man that was walked around with a cut they have to been told by someone looks mediocre to bad, and their immediate answer is some variation of "But my wife fukks with it though, so....." Some brehs hit a certain point where their look is really for an audience of one.

Why do people have so many rules for men, especially Black men?

A real true to the game grown ass adult man is gonna do whatever he wanna do! That includes dressing how he wants, grooming how he wants, walk & talk how he wants, make money how he wants, etc...

Lastly, when it comes to attracting women, well..

A man isn't gonna attract every woman. That's a fact! He will get what he get! Some women will come to him because of what he has, others will come to him because of what he does for them, some will come to him for who he is as a man good, bad or indifferent & the rest will ignore/sleep on him and go elsewhere for whatever reason.

If you are a grown ass man, then continue to be you & do you!
What the hell are you doing on here with all this making of sense sir?! Lol

Look around .. we can play the oblivious game to get points for not generalizing.... Or we can be honest.

Dreads, braids, man buns, etc... shyt like that attracts kids who care about looking "cool" and attracting women. Hence why most people with those hairstyles are under 40. That and balding. But a working man with responsibilities is not going to be taken seriously walking into a corporate meeting, court room, job interview with braids or his hair dangling around like a toddler.

Short hair = a man with more time to focus on his purpose and responsibilities. A real man don't got time to be twisting his hair, staring in the mirror and bragging about his hair length like a little punk ass bytch. This why black women bossing up on these nikkas. At least their excuse is they're women. What are these nikkas excuses?
This is not the case in 2023

There are professionals in every sector and organizational level with dreads, braids and longer hair these days

I’ve got to disagree with you bruh. I’ve been in corporate America for 10 years and since Covid I’ve been rocking four braids, my hair long as hell now. Had a clean cut my whole life prior to it. It’s not the hair style it’s how you carry yourself.

I ain’t said shyt about tech… Carlton

The idea that you have it have a low cut and clean shaven in a professional setting is not true

Well yeah, you don't have to. But who do you think is getting the promotion? Both qualified black men, same age, one is clean cut and the other is loc'd up. Who gets the job? Clean cut will always get you farther in adult spaces then "locs"

@Carlton Banks what type of haircut do you usually get? What guard number do you get on the top and what guard number do you get on the back and sides?
