nah not at all. The label "Christian/gospel artist" puts up invisible walls and allows the artist to sidestep what others may have to go thru a la: beefs/battle, getting boo'd (check my previous post)...etc.
Even when performing they do not have to work as hard to win over crowds because their audience cheers for God wether the music is good or not. Do not get it Twisted there are some legit Christian artist out there, but there are plenty you can tell want to be mainstream at heart but consistently keep dancing that thin "safe" line.
You can tell when the visuals look mainstream and 80%/90% of the content is basically the same as every other struggle rapper but they put that 10% in to save themselves.
The Bible says stay way from even a spec of impurity & I see these Christian artists appearing on Thisis50, seeking cosigns from mainstream acts and even paying Worldstar for promo.

These Christian artist know they cant hang in the regular music world (listen to their music and you tell me how "hot" it is) so they hide under the blood of Jesus.

The label "Christian/gospel artist" can put up invisible walls, but it doesn't necessarily work that way. For one, the label "Christian rapper" can alienate the artist from people who would otherwise enjoy the music if it didn't have the label. That label could be much more problematic than them just being a "secular" rapper.
Just because they have audiences that will cheer for God doesn't mean that they won't/don't get booed. The Church can be the harshest of critics.
By becoming a rapper, the "safe" thin line is removed for a Christian. People within the religion are already ready to attack them simply for being a rapper. The same with the mainstream. People that don't want to hear messages associated with Christianity will knock them for it. There's people that erroneously lump mainstream rappers into the Christian Rap genre. Andre 3000 even addressed critics who said Outkast was "gospel rapping". Common's even been labeled a Christian rapper. Kanye West was nominated (he might've even won) for a Stellar Award (Grammys for Gospel music) for "Jesus Walks".
The Bible does uphold purity, but it doesn't prohibit people from spreading a message even in environments that are impure. Early Christians set up churches in places where pagan practices were common place. These were places were idolatry, fornication, and incest were rampant. Those Christians abstained from those acts, but it didn't stop them from going there and spreading the message.

there is no error, its just the label that is the problem. 2pac is honestly the GOAT Christian rapper because he wasnt a "Christian rapper" he was simply a rapper who is a Christian. He kept it real about himself and thats all God really asks you to do. These lames on the other hand know they cant hold a flame against Young Thug and move people like he does but they dont let that kill them from their dream.
Yes but Christians of those days never paid anyone to preach. They just did it. I am talking about those cutting the check to who would be considered "evil" for a chance.

Its referring to the world's ways that are founded on direct opposition towards the laws of God.
Christians are supposed to invade the darkness to shine light aka appear on thisis50, bet cyphers etc etc.
Christianity is not like the othodox jewish ways in which they stay to themselves and keep their message to themselves for fear of being taken over by the world.
Christians are actually commanded to invade all parts of the world and with the power of the holy spirit giving the Gospel.....
Bible says those saved and sent to give the gospel to the lost are the light of the world...

I'm not lying to myself. Christian rappers don't automatically get a pass from people who proclaim to love God. They'd be justified in booing because of what the Bible says about flattering tongues vs. being honest.
As far as them knowing they can't hold a flame against Young Thug, there's rappers who aren't labeled Christian rappers who covet how he moves people. You see and hear the fans of these artists echo that sentiment "why can't positive messages move the people like Young Thug does".
No, they didn't pay or receive money for preaching. Why should these rappers be condemned for doing it though? The crazy part about those would be "considered evil" is that it comes from a judgmental place.
ok dude. my point is that a lot of these dudes are not doing it to spread the word of God, they want the "easy" road in hip-hop. If you dont see that you deaf, dumb and blind.

LOL. I'm not being blind and deaf to anything. I'm just not going to sit here and judge them as if I know them. Like I posted before, their intent, motivation, and heart is a matter of their conscience and what God feels about it.
