Dez has better career numbers than Odell in the same amount of games

Both borderline HOFers

With all due respect to how talented OBJ was in his prime and peak, he is nowhere near a HOF player. Not due to talent, but his numbers and longevity aren't there.

Do I think he's better than some that have gotten in recently and ones that will likely get in? Yes, but the numbers just aren't there.

:jbhmm: How much weight does pro bowls add or should add to ones career resume?
They should be viewed thr way NBA All-Star selections are viewed. If you are selected to a Pro Bowl, you are likely one of the best players at your position in a given year, so the amount of times you are recognized as one of the best players at your position, should matter. But it isn't the end all, be all.

(And we know there are cases like Huntley making a Pro Bowl who wasn't anywhere near a top player at his position).

People who dismiss Pro Bowls outright are misguided, in my opinion. If ot shouldn't matter, it wouldn't exist.

A little town called none ya got damn bidness
How bout James "Deebo" Harrison, man was damn near about to be a bus driver before getting a shot and instead he put together this resume. Memorable momentum changing pick six in the Superbowl on top of

2× Super Bowl champion (XL, XLIII)
NFL Defensive Player of the Year (2008)
2× First-team All-Pro (2008, 2010)
2× Second-team All-Pro (2007, 2009)
5× Pro Bowl (2007–2011)
NFL forced fumbles leader (2008)

That's tough as he was an excellent player, but I don't think the accolades are there. Then again, he did have some strong competition from his peers. I think the longer someone waits to be inducted into the HOF, the more and more voters look at the accolades without a lot of context. I don't think he gets in, but I don't think it would be a crime if he did.

He's a tough one, but I'm not sure he gets in. He has the following going for him:

-Four time all-pro
-DPOTY (Won the Super Bowl that year)
-A LB for a franchise that is all about defense, and a franchise that is essentially an NFL "blue blood".
-Two time Super Bowl Champion where he won the DPOTY the season.
-A all-time moment in Super Bowl history with that pick six.

He has some really good things going for him, but I don't think his career was long enough where he was performing at a high level. It would be different if his peak/prime was like a Terrell Davis type peak.

He deserves to be in the Hall imo. Arguably the most dominant and complete LB in football between '08 and '10.
