I used to but then I realized I was doing it for other people and not myself
I still like certain brands like Nike and Polo but now I just wear what looks fly to me and it doesn't matter what the brand is. You just gotta have some sense of style and it's easy and affordable to do this.
Rather spend that money I used to spend on expensive clothes on vacations now and having those memories for life instead of shyt I'll rock for a year or two max.

Shoes? Yeah, definitely. But even then it's not to impress people. For example, I got a couple pairs of Vapormax because they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I copped some Jordan 5's because I've wanted them since I was a kid, but couldn't afford them back then.
Clothes? Depends....brand name is anything commercially available, really. It's not as if cats are making their own clothes. But I buy whatever looks good to me, and is comfortable.

At least you’re keeping it real not this instagram bullshyt some say in these discussions. I do both also but it’s still moreso about does the stuff look good or not. I won’t buy something just because it’s name brand but if it’s nice to me why not?
Like others have said, I just buy name brand shoes.
Everything else I just go what looks good to me and fits me the way I want it to fit.
Shoes need to withstand a good amount of use so I prefer going with a high quality brand name.
Any shirt regardless of brand will look and/or fit different after a wash, and can stain or rip easy as hell and boom, there goes your $60+ shirt.
Not knockin' those that stick with name brands, for me, I just don't really see the value.
I'm not out here lookin bummy in the slightest, I definitely take pride in what I'm wearing and how I'm wearing it, but once you get a house, and become a family man, clothes drop very low in your list of priorities.
I have the money for it easy, but I'd rather spend it elsewhere on things that matter more to me.

This why I still cop Jordans and Nike sweats and hoodies and sneakers here and there cause I grew up poor and my mom would cop me a pair of J's once every 2-3 years as a kid but now as a grown man, I still like to cop these just as a pat on the back to myself that I've grinded and can cop these things now once in awhile
Crazy that when I was younger I used to be broke but still managed to be in designer
glad I got out of that mindset early.
