We might be.:yeshrug:

When I think about that question, "is there life out there?" , the question is a bit flawed because we mean what we consider "life" to be. We consider life as self aware/ intelligent entities. For that to be possible (life as we know it) wouldn't it have to be another earth out there? How probable is that? It would have to have a star(sun), solar system, chain of events that created it all EXACTLY the same as ours. Same size sun same distance same orbital path etc. I just don't think this is probable (calm down geeks I kno I cud be wrong)

Even if there is "life" similar to what we know as living things what's the probability that there anywhere near the type of beings we are or follow any similar thought pattern. Why do we assume they'd think like we think. And when you consider that what's the point in even searching for or trying to contact them and why the hell would the contact us.

Say we stumble upon a planet ruled by 20ft tall red ants. Why the fukk would we drop in and say hi to them mfers?:childplease:

Until I see evidence, I'm going to say that yes, we are.

But there being billions of galaxies and within that, numerous planets, there's a mathematical probability on some level that life may exist elsewhere.

Think about the word you're using.... Life.

As in life as what we consider life.... Living things. Things we can see, hear, touch. Life as in it has a beginning and an end to its "life"... This is what WE consider as life because that's all we know.

If there is some shyt out there who's to say it doesn't transcend everything we know about life and isn't living (or dead) at all

My point is we might be the only shyt like us in the universe

I don't know that something human-like exists elsewhere in the universe. So I said life. I have doubts that even plant life exists elsewhere.

I'm open to the possibility. I'm just saying no until I see evidence. I think it's irresponsible to say there is, based on wishful thinking.

Why is this even a question?

nikkas say the universe is EVER EXPANDING.

You cannot comprehend the vastness of our universe.

We do not know enough about the universe to say "we're the only living things", regardless of how you skew the definition of life

:whoa: Just remember, for every peaceful alien nation there would be a one intended to wipe us out. There is some shyt out there we aren't just ready for. :lupe:

^knowmsayin!

Lets say hypothetically the earth was runnin outta food and natural resources but we had the ability to travel beyond the solar system. Then we find a planet with oxygen atmosphere, plant life and the planet was dominated by smart ass cows all over it. Do you really think we'd drop in on em to share knowledge and let them know theyre not alone or would we break out the grill, paper plates and Rick James records on they ass

It's just ignorant to me the way mfers visualize a "alien race" to be like the fukkin movies. Like an advanced intellect and advanced technology and all that bulshyt.

Only a stupid mfer believes in that "alien craft crashed on earth" ..so these mfers flew a billion gott dam miles through the galaxy and suddenly ran outta gas at this mfer..fukkin space ship needed an oil change or some shyt.

the chances of us being the only beings like us is very small...however we would be separated by vast distances and may not exist at the same time.
if there were to be a planet that was able to pick up radio waves TODAY and the human race went out of existence tomorrow they would not pick up on our last transmission until it reached them.

if they were 1,000 light years away, that means that if we all died today that they would not receive any radio waves from us for 1,000 years...that's if they are even listening for us.

and 1,000 light years aint shyt...throw as many zeros on top of that as you want.
the numbers are infinite.
the possibilities are infinite.
