I hope so.
Humans can't even get along with each other. I hope we never have to encounter another form of intelligent life in this universe.

What a shyt show that's gonna be.
I mean we don't even have the technology to get anywear yet but nikkas talking about colonizing mars and titan. Don't know what's there, who's there or nothing but already claiming it for earth. Any civilization there will die if earthlings had their way

Nah I don’t think so.

But our lifespan is too short to find out anyway :yeshrug:

We’d have to hope intelligent life find us…or our future multidimensional selves take pitty on us :francis:

Definitely not alone.

To me the real question is, is life so far away we'll never make contact with it... That's what I wanna know. Maybe we're the only ones in the milky way Galaxy but two galaxies over is the closest neighbor ...

How would we ever actually contact each other. It would be a huge problem. That's the scenario I have pictured in my head.

Either that or life is everywhere

no we're just not at a certain intelligence level to be met by the ones who made it

Yes

There are no other humans in the universe except on Earth

And we can't even communicate with other humans on the same planet very well

Communicating with an alien would likely be the same as talking to a Dolphin

With the way we treat each other,
I pray we never find alien life

The Fermi paradox is so human-centric. Maybe advanced civilizations don’t have a desire to plant their flags on planets all throughout the universe and rape the women that they find there.
Fermi Paradox is basic reasoning. Refuting it requires human centric thinking...like your second sentence.

don't even worry about the next galaxy over.
there is way more than enough for us in out own galaxy that we will never get to.
personally, i believe that there is other "intelligent life" in our galaxy. it's just that
the distances even within a single galaxy are mind bending and even the most
intelligent species would find many difficulties within long distance space travel.
we can't even get a person past the moon yet, we are just starting.
