The sheer number of athletes and the success involved in basically stacking the deck in our favor has robbed us of true sporting moments as a nation.

The hype for Murray in the UK for Wimbledon for example, or even the Polish guys getting some shine that was a big moment in Poland (Janowicz and Kubot).

Or Hatton and his run.

We lack moments of national pride everyone can get behind.

The World Cup? Oh they lost :yeshrug:

The gymnastics team? Oh they won :yeshrug:

Serena? She wins all the time :yeshrug:

Floyd is at the top of the sport? We got about 55 other relevant boxers, whats the big deal :yeshrug:

When's the last time the USA has really gotten behind any sporting athlete/team with full force? And are we being shortchanged of epic moments, as sporting fans? Because let's face it, having the Giants win the Super Bowl or something isn't the same.

what a stupid post

mothafukkas in other countries are short changed by having to watch soccer 90% of the time, and then mediocre tennis players.

meanwhile we have
NHL
NBA
MLB
NFL
Golf
UFC
Boxing

US >>>> earth when it comes to sports.

This thread is fukking stupid.

If you were a millionaire would you start questioning if you should just live life in a shytty apartment so you can see what it's like to struggle? You must be some some hearted white boy.

As an arsenal fan (a succesful soccer team who haven't won anything for 8 years), it was better when we were challenging and winning things.

Take that as you will.

Closer I came to that was euro 96, we didnt win (Germans again!), but best I ever felt about us.

(Apart from 1990, but I was only 10 then)

this post is basically

"i wish the U.S sucked at sports like the rest of the world, so one day we could cheer for one winner out of a population of LOSERS, a feeling Americans don't know or understand because we're too busy winning and excelling at every sport (other than soccer)"

ralph lauren/jay leno: fukk, look at all these classic, timeless, exotic cars i own. am i short changing myself by having all these supercars?
when's the last time i had to finance a scion FRS? oh how i wish i could trade in all these ferraris and bugattis for the joy of struggling for years to lease a scion :flabbynsick:

etc etc

First and last time I seen my father cry breh :castro:

Streets raving, people screaming at the top of their lungs, people going crazy dancing on cars while someones driving. Fireworks everywhere :blessed:

Beautiful chaos :ahh:

Everybody from a football country deserves to experience that feeling
