But it Definitely affected his opportunities, while i doubt he was going to make a ton of new Naked Gun movies regardless or have a particularly lengthy movie career. Its clear he stopped acting after the trial.
but i think he mainly just missed out the lifetime of goodwill he was going to have as a retired legend. he still kept his freedom and a lot of love from his fandom.
