The assumption behind that particular post is that black people (Black men in particular) somehow exist in this vacuum, with our only interest being in Tyler Perry movies, Jay-Z, and the NBA. And that by showing an interest outside of these things, that she is somehow this eccentric, unique individual, pushing against societal boundaries...because she likes fukking Arrested Development....
*That* is what she thinks is making her too weird/eccentric for black men? A *barely* cult show (I say barely, because really, AD is actually one of the most renowned shows ever, it just happened to be a ratings dud during it's original run). That story was likely fake anyways, she ran into two "swagged" out bruthas in Starbuck that just happened to be named George and Michael who also never heard of AD....okay.
We live in a world where fukking Big Bang Theory is one of the most popular television shows, Superhero movies rule the box-office, everyone is on their smart phones 24-7, get over yourself honey.
