I've always been a fan of him when he was first drafted to the Lakers, rooted for him on the Knicks too. For some reason, he always got unfair criticism for the past 5 years from the Coli and in the NBA media. Happy he's doing great on the Timberwolves. He literally saved the Timberwolves offensively and defensively in alot of stretches during this series

Shout out to him :salute:

Minnesota unlocked him.

He also conceded being the man to Ant. Something that seemed to be a bit of a struggle for him to do with Brunson in NYC
I wouldn’t say they unlocked him. He’s doing what he always does - tough baskets inside and out, driving and dishing, rebounding tough.

He just did it well in this series, took advantage of mismatches and actually played good defense.

Wish it would’ve worked out in NY but happy for him. Hope it continues.

Hurts to see him, Divo and Hartenstein cruising into the 2nd round.

He wasn't going it efficiently in the Playoffs tho. That's why he was polarizing.

I think Anthony Edwards leadership really allows him to play free in pressure situations

The criticism was never valid because people don’t understand or care about nuance. Julius first playoff series he was surrounded by Elfrid Payton, Nerlens Noel and Reggie Bullock (neither are on a roster right now). That former coach of Atlanta triple teamed Julius and dared anybody else to beat them and only Derrick Rose was playing well.

The second playoff time Julius was playing with a fukked up ankle that required arthroscopic surgery due to Bam adebayo injuring him
This injury happened on game 80 of the season

He can only play who is in front of him, but I need to see him do it against a team other than the Lakers before I give him credit for exorcising his playoff demons.
