I sat down and relistened to this in a dire attempt that I'd understand why this album was dikkridden into bolivan.

Hands down, the most overrated, gassed up project I've heard since J. Cole's solo debut. I listened to the Gremlin for about several tracks before finally realizing it's nothing special. In a sea of shyt I guess it stands out to be people. It's not a bad album but it doesn't move me in anyway.

Real might be one of my favourite songs on the album. Only song I skip and have always skipped is Backstreet Freestyle but I can imagine it's the best song you'll hear when you go to a Kendrick concert.

Nah u whylin...his style of storytellin is actually very good and does age well..examples being songs like Tammy's Song, Keshia's Song, Poetic Justice and many tracks off his mixtape...i think just think he missed it with a few tracks..Sherane is good he tells the story well and if this was spoken word I'd be like but as a standalone song while im on my way to work or some sht..that sht is a straight skip..

Kdot tho has a very great ability in that he's able to give concepts and stories in ways that are enjoyable musically which is something most artists have trouble doing..

Like I said GKMC is still a great album because the songs i do like on the album are rlly rlly great but Im not gonna ignore the skips

if you don't like an artist, you ain't going to lsiten to his album, I have friends who listen to gkmc every day and think reasonabel doubt is full of fillers and I have friends who listen to Relapse every day and think that GRODT is full of fillers.

music is about feeling, so if you don't like an album it's ok, doesn't mean that there are fillers...

On topic, the album is considered as a classic for a reason, and if you ask me, there is 0 filler on gkmc, I absolutely love every song, from Sherane to Compton, every song.

This is the first time since below the heavens (2007) that I can play an album without skipping a single song. I even skip most of the songs on the classics of the 90's.
