its crazy that its technically the same as a 10-6 football team...which can miss the playoffs...but in baseball youd probably be like 8 or 9 games ahead in 1st with that record

im talking from a strictly math stand point..

i know its a game of series', matchups etc...but from a technical stand point...the record isnt that impressive...its the same as 10-6...50-32

a 130-32 record would be :banderas: though ...like a 13-3 football team

way too many games to play
baseball is more long-run oriented, football is short term oriented. shyt tends to fall back to averages and probability when you play 100+ games.

in the long run, a 12-4 football team isnt that much different from a 10-6 team. Im sure in football for most 10-6 teams there were close losses.

Well, you started at 100 wins....which is a level 6 teams have reached in the last decade.

So yes, 100 wins is pretty impressive.
Well that's a lot of losing for the "best teams in baseball" if they capping off at 90 or so wins. If your losing 70 that's not impressive at all just on paper
