Honestly, covid has taught me that simply being in America is a damn cheat code for global disasters. Literally 3 months after a pandemic was announced numerous corporations and univeristies were already working on a vaccine.


Those vaccines were being handed out only a year later while poor nations like India were begging for aid and allegedly wealthy ones like taiwan/south korea were desperately bargaining for it.


So what's my point? If you replace the word "pandemic" in my first paragraph with ABC catastrophe ranging from meteor strike,to famine, to solar flares, to even climate change; a nation like the US will be fine due to the concentrated wealth and mental aptitude we have here . As survivors, Id also throw in the other nations that developed vaccines independently during this crisis like Russia, UK, and China.

So i agree truly agree with you that WE will survive as Americans, but im convinced the rest of the world is skrewed.

You think everyone would be able to get that food and water? Just think about when we went into quarantine. People went into survival mode started hoarding everything. You wouldn't get any water either bc if theres no power the water pumps don't work. Imagine how many people will drink tainted water, get sick and die bc there's no emergency services.
