Are we ready to admit modern hip-hop is basically witchcraft?

Music was religious before it was secular. It was meant for the betterment of society.

Black music has always been more communal and participatory than other music. If used for evil, the ritual is not limited to just Hierophants, the crowd can become participatory as well

Pains me to say this, but the preachers knew what was coming when the Bluesman was competing with them. It allowed for Blues practitioners to have the same power as a Pastor. The Pastor was supposed to guide WITH community for God. The Bluesman was using that same tool but modifying it a little. Without realizing it, created a self serving derivative form. And then that power fell into the wrong hands. You can see this Today in Travis Scott, and modern MC'ing, and Crowd-to-performer interactions(Which WE CREATED and comes from BLACK RELIGIOUS TRADITION). Thats how powerful Black Music is.

Yeah I agree with this topic. Remember my older cousins used to say Biggie spoke his premature death into existence and didn't really pay attention until the last few years :francis:

I just think it’s unwise to have bars implying you’ll be dying soon & asking God to “Save a bed for me”

or bars promoting any fukkery

Art imitates life
