There is nothing wrong with withholding your vote. Your vote is an endorsement of who you vote for, that they can claim as a mandate to run along with their agenda.

People don't enjoy being coerced into voting to "save a country" that historically hasn't given a fukk about them honestly. Why is it so hard for the Democratic Party to have a candidate that is a sure shot against the worst President of all time?

The difference is that those groups go to the candidates they want to back with an organized ask to present.
While asking, they have their checkbooks out.
If the candidate gets elected, those groups stay on that politician's head make sure that ask gets accomplished or at the very least, acted upon.

This the part of the political process that we totally miss. Thinking that our political responsibility ends at the voting booth.

And any candidate promising to give reparations before they get elected is committing career suicide. Bernie Sanders promised Universal Healthcare and people thought that was too radical therefore they voted for Biden because the thought of Universal Healthcare made Bernie unelectable so just imagine if he promised reparations.
