So if one candidate will make life easier for the middle class while the other is outright telling you he's going to put implement initiatives to make your life harder why would you sit on the sideline and accept the option that's going to make your life harder?

Who has it easier in Amerikkka middle class whites or middle class black people? The problem people have with Trump is that he's making life harder for everyone, now people just want to go back to the days when it was just black people suffering.
And when is that going to start? Black folks vote democrat, celebrate the W, and then complain about shyt not changing. Exactly, The whole "don't vote" attitude is born out of frustration with both parties ignoring the black community. If Biden wins black folks will celebrate getting Adolf out of office, and sit back and watch as he ignores us for the next 4-8 years.

Hatians wen't on the offense in the only way that they could.
Voting is a defensive measure, defense is important and you should know how (and why) to play it beyond choosing to get bit by the fox or the wolf. And once you have a defense set, one that ideally gives you SOME kinda leverage beyond what black folk get for being a firewall for democrats you then have to go on the offensive, and that doesn't have to mean violent revolution.
Signing a bill that granted black people civil rights on paper ain't cost a dime. Once MLK started suggesting to direct his movement toward economic justice for ALL, in order add strength and solidarity to the type of direct action that could be taken he had to go.
We can't be putting targets on people's backs in the way of looking for a new MLK or Malcom, but movements like ADOS/FBA can be powerful, as can little smaller pockets of movements/cliques that could find common ground with.
It was sad watching black folk on Twitter demanding Biden pick a black VP. It was some woman, furious talking about WE ARE THE ONES WHO STOPPED BERNIE SANDERS FOR YOU! So you better pick Harris/Abrams ect.
