Are we sure Project Scorpio isn't just a SFF PC?

I keep seeing people conflicted about this, but I do think this is what ultimately project Scorpio will be.

Microsoft is increasingly focusing more and more on hardware with the surface tablets, surface book, surface phone...all pretty much running stock Windows.

Valve failed with steam machines and the PC market desperately wants a SFF PC that will work well on your TV.

Also the codename "project scorpio" kinda hints to this being more than just a console refresh.

Forcing people to connect the Kinect via the USB adapter instead of the proprietary port. The same adapter that works both on PC and the XBOX ONE S now.

i wouldn't be surprised and it would be a great move by microsoft.

we all knew that the future of gaming was a HTPC type of device that connected to your TV. microsoft is continuing where the steam box failed but the difference is microsoft actually have the resources, foundation and idea to execute this.

i still remember when ppl were hyping up the steam box as the real deal it was good in theory but no one was gonna abandon sony or microsoft for that.

It's a bait and switch. Get a bunch of clowns to buy it then sWitcher it to next gen at the last minute or abandon xbox one and make scorpio the flagship after ps5 drop

Steam boxes were a great idea with piss poor execution. Price points alone made em pointless
