its a mini series so why not 
It's not a mini-series. It's only 6 episodes because TNT wants to give it a trial run and see how it does. If ratings are good they'll renew it. if not they'll throw it into the bushes. I'm fearful it's going to be tame because it's on TNT. But Frank Darabont (creator/director of The Walking Dead) created this show and directed the pilot. And I know he doesn't fukk with no weak shyt, so he might've gotten TNT to push the envelope on it. the trailers look good so far.
the fact that they gave LA the hometown of this makes it a bit more believable.
them goons from chicago ran everything west of them, so vegas (to an extent) kansas, milwaukee and anything in cali technically should have been under the "outfit's" (chicago's) umbrella
not much has been done movie wise besides that mullholland falls movie.
the cali part of cosa nostra is really quiet. ny ( benny siegel ) game through and crushed their buildings. controlled all their rackets, the projection union, everything.
them southern cal dudes had no chance.
if this show is somehow a head dude in la it could be good but people need to know history and know these dudes ain't sheeeeit.
