Are women funny?

No, women are not funny, and there is a good reason.

Women aren't funny because they don't HAVE to be funny. Men need to be entertaining, witty, smart, and otherwise captivate a woman's attention in any way possible to have a shot at fukking. Women just have to hunt down a drunk and desperate marine in a bar/pub/club somewhere to get laid. Women don't develop a sense of humor, really, because they don't have to. Ever notice how TV shows that have humor geared towards women are fukking lame and unfunny? There's a reason for that.

The only women that are really funny are ones that are unattractive, or were unattractive for so long that they had to develop a sense of humor over time before they finally came into their own. Either way, women don't have the outright necessity to be funny like men do, so they don't develop that way.

In addition, this is why women always brag about having nothing but guy friends, that guys are way cooler to hang out with, and that they're really just one of the guys. Men are necessitated to develop interesting personalities while women, again, don't really have that desperate need to do so.

I'm starting to notice that the top stand up comic women love talking about being whores or drunks.

yeah a lot of younger men don't find women funny.

It's pretty standard talk I hear with men in their twenties..... Maybe they haven't met enough women?

Hell half the shyt I say is jokes and dudes don't even get it because they're too dense.

Also I don't find Amy Poehler funny at all.

The idea that women don't have to be funny because they're attractive has nothing to do with women actually being funny. Unfortunately part of the reason some of the top female comedians are there these days IS because they're attractive.

I used to have a similar view on female bands. The only good ones were lesbians. But then I heard Le Tigre and my mind was blown.

I think once you meet more women who have quality humor you'll change your view. Usually women haven't really developed themselves fully until their thirties.

It also sounds to me like both you and christopher hitchens are thinking too single mindedly and categorizing women by your penis.
Ugly women go here, Pretty women go here. She's funny sure but she's ugly. Really? The penis is not the center of the universe.

men's point of views are just funnier than women's. women take themselves too seriously, ever since childhood.

i remember in elementary school my friends and I would do fart noises in class and spit everywhere and put boogers in ppls hair etc... girls would be all serious n mad "ewww u guys are nasty," playing with glitter and talking about boring pointless sht.

This is true of younger men for the larger part. I agree. The interesting thing is that you guys have found a MALE failing here and you've turned it into a woman failing.... Women don't have to be that funny because men are controlled by their penises?

i send pics of my most impressive turds to my friends all the time. we go back n forth and try to outdo each other for ultimate glory. i sent a huge turd pic to my ex once and she called me on the phone to berate me for 5 min about why thats "so disgusting" and asking why i would "disrespect" her by showing her a pic of this monster log

send a pic of one of ur turds to ur female friends and see every one of them get mad. but text one of them asking them if they think some random celeb is cute and enjoy a 3 hour meaningless conversation.

i beguile people of all ages with my stories of adventure. womens stories are all pointless and not funny and usually criticize at least 1 person and call someone fat.

mens lives from puberty to age 21 are funnier than any point in a womans life. i'd say the year i first ejaculated is funnier than the last 500 years of women's history.
